
This programme was conceived with a view to address the specific needs of the youth and this has been achieved through their complete involvement and active participation at all stages of the programme.
The main aim of the value formation programme is to develop human resource and inculcate assertiveness and confidence amongst the youth for them to be decisive and work independently and in unison. The programme also targets at bringing out hidden creatively, communication skills and leadership quality in the youth. These are achieved through leadership training, theatre, music and origami workshops and sports camps for games like football, volleyball, rugby, Kabaddi, gymnastics and athletics. Regular classes are also conducted for art, yoga, and dance. Awareness camps are held on prevention of early marriage, school dropouts and adolescent health. Exposure visits are also organized for youth.

All children after the standard of Class VIII (12 years old) are encouraged to attend technical education for skill development on different trade like Motor mechanic, electric and electrical repairing, computer, tailoring business management etc. Besides that, to learn how to do agriculture, fish culture, goatry, poultry and apiculture etc.

The year 2009-10 has been encouraging for all the units of Mass Education to continue the activities of the previous year and also that has taken up more effective programmes in the rural areas to provide safe drinking water, sanitary latrines, social forestry, ecological agriculture and rainwater harvest activities for sustainable economy.
The following training centers of Mass Education has been able to improve its training capacity and infrastructure facilities for community leaders, students, youth groups, women groups, community based organizations, NGOs, health workers & teachers.

Moreover, concentrating on the development of young children and their environment will have a preventing and lasting effect and will generate sustainable benefits.

• Primary Teachers’ Training Institute’ at Dakshin Shibgunj, P.O. & P.S. Patharpratima, South 24 Parganas.
The institutes have ample space both for students and faculty. There are Auditorium, Lecture Hall, Library, workshop, Audio-video room, playground, restroom and residential blocks in all the centres.
